Mentor Information

We invite experienced disability mentors to apply to be a mentor at the online student conference Disabled & Proud: Leading Change.  Each mentor must lead at least one 45-minute online chat on an agreed upon topic or theme and will receive free registration to the conference.  We especially encourage applications from faculty, non-academic professionals, and the disability community.

Mentored online chats will be held live from 1:00-1:45 PDT / 4:00-4:45 EDT and from 4:00-4:45 PDT / 7:00-7:45 EDT on each day of the conference, which runs October 11-13.  Conference attendees will be able to pick from 2-3 different online mentored chats each day.  Chats will be live captioned on Zoom and will include options for participation via voice and text.  A moderator will be available to assist mentors with taking questions.

Applications will be reviewed as we receive them at https://goo.gl/forms/vI4UQORcrJyDuXwm2.  We anticipate that we will receive more applications than we have mentoring positions for at the Disabled & Proud Conference.  We would like to save applications on file for future DREAM mentoring opportunities.  We will let all applicants know our final decisions on chat group mentors by October 8, 2018.
